8:00 am: Short Course #1 continues; Short Course #2 begins: Mining AK: The People, Planet, and Profit of Alaska’s Mining Industry; Short Course #3 begins: Workshop on mineral potential mapping for Base, Precious, and Critical Minerals using modern, GIS-based, Digital Datasets in Alaska

 

8:00 – 12:00 pm: ½ Day Short Course #4: Communications in Mining

 

11:30 - 1:30 pm: Open House held by DNR Office of Project Management and Permitting - Atwood Building, suite 1430

 

2:00 pm: Vendor set-up in Trade Show

 

3:00 – 4:40 pm: AMA Board of Directors meeting at Marriott Hotel

 

5:00 pm: Breaking Ground and AMAPAC fundraising Opening Reception at the Marriott Hotel featuring networking, registration and badge pick up, Monday Night Football, and signup for the Rock Fight! 

 

Tuesday, November 4

 

7:00 am: Mining District Breakfast emceed by Paul Manuel in Trade Show area

 

8:00: Technical Sessions begin with Geoscience Investigations in Track 1 and AMA Policy Discussion in Track 2

 

9:00: Trade Show, Core Shack, Prospectors Tent, Poster Sessions open! 

9:00 - 10:00: Notary: Notarize your AOLs during the convention! Andrea Jacuk, Stoel Rives LLP, will be available in the Trade Show Lounge to notarize documents.

 

Noon: Luncheon: Shifting Ground: A Conversation Evolving Federal Framework for U.S. Mining

Panelists include American Exploration & Mining Association and federal policymakers 

 

2:00 pm: Technical Sessions begin with Early Exploration Highlights in Track 1 and AMA Policy discussion in Track 2

 

5:00: Suppliers Reception – all attendees bring your drink tickets and gather in the Trade Show to network!

7:00: Closing Banquet begins – special recognition of Rock Stars of Alaska’s Mining Industry Awards, In Memoriam of members, support Alaska Resource Education, and dance the night away with Yachtly Crew! Banquet Theme: 70s & 80s - There will be a costume contest, best dressed will win a prize!
