2019 CONVENTION INFORMATION

Convention Information

AMA's Annual Convention and Trade show will be at the Dena'ina Center and the Anchorage Marriott Downtown Hotel.  The Convention begins on Sunday, November 3, 2019, and will conclude on Saturday, November 9, 2019.  This year AMA is also celebrating our 80th anniversary so the 2019 Convention should be educational, great for networking, and fun!

AIRFARE

Alaska Airlines has graciously offered a 10% discount those flying to the AMA 2019 Convention and Trade Show

How to book: 
Go to www.alaskaair.com, click on “Use discount code or companion fare code”, enter your origin/ destination city and travel dates, enter the AMA Discount Code and click on “Find Flights”. All eligible flights will display for you to choose from.

The special room rate starts at $115 per night and is only available from October 30 to November 12, 2019 but you must book before

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Convention Registration is now open!

Click on the register links to take you to the AMA's 2019 Convention Registration website.  

STUDENTS: Students are welcome to attend any short courses or technical sessions with valid student ID. Please contact Jennifer Luiten at jennifer@alaskaminers.org to register as a student, at a significantly reduced cost.

SPONSORS: If your company is a sponsor, you still need to register for lunches and the banquet. The cost will be deducted from your total when you enter your discount code at check-out. Don't have a discount code? Email jennifer@alaskaminers.org

Convention registration includes access (Tuesday - Thursday) to all technical sessions, trade show, prospectors tent, core shack, and poster sessions. 

Convention registration costs do not include meals, MSHA refreshers, or short courses. 

Please note: If your company is a sponsor at a level that includes conference registration, lunches, and banquet, you still need to register for all of those activities. The short courses are open to the public and will provide valuable information to anyone involved with or interested in the minerals industry.  Unless otherwise noted, short courses are from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Lunch is included with the cost of your all-day short courses.

MSHA Annual Refresher Courses are a Mine Safety and Health Administration course to retrain miners based on the Title 30 CFR - Part 48 
regulations and keep them safe and healthy against workplace hazards.
